Two Kinds of Traffic Counting Equipment

Vehicle counters

Whether you’re monitoring traffic to a parking garage or analyzing traffic flow on an industrial site, SenSource has traffic counting equipment that can suit any budget and need. SenSource systems range from industry-standard inductive burial loop systems that are long-lasting, permanent installations to simple pressure hose vehicle counters that provide a cost-effective solution for temporary needs. SenSource has two basic categories of traffic counting equipment to meet a variety of situations.

Inductive Loop Burial System

Inductive loop burial systems are the industry standard for permanent and accurate vehicle detection. Non-engineer types looking for a layman’s explanation of how they work can turn here. SenSource has inductive loop traffic counters that measure traffic in one or two lanes and can measure total traffic in one direction or, by using two sensors, can determine the direction of traffic. The advantages of the inductive loop system include its accuracy and its durability. These detectors are unaffected by extreme temperatures, wind or even ice, and they also operate accurately in environments with heavy vibration.

Pressure Hose Vehicle Counters

If you need a simple and portable solution, especially in areas where electrical power is not available, the tried and true pressure hose vehicle counter is a cost-effective solution. It can easily be set up in most locations and then moved when needed elsewhere. The pressure hose system counts traffic by recording each vehicle axle that passes over the hose. Data is collected on an eight-digit LCD display. You can also use a data logger that allows you to download statistics to a PC.

Whether you need a permanent traffic counting solution or a temporary and portable setup, SenSource can provide the traffic counting equipment you need. Contact the Sensource vehicle counter sales team to get a quote on the cost of these traffic counting equipment systems.
