Four SenSource employees, including President Joe Varacalli, joined Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning County in an effort to give back to our community. This is the first in a series of quarterly activities uniting SenSource with the surrounding community by volunteering time and talent to worthy projects. “Habitat was a great first project for us! We rolled up our sleeves and hung siding and plywood and helped with framing the interior of the house. Not only were we helping a great cause, it was a team building experience,” explains Jessica Sferra, Marketing Coordinator. “Since founded, SenSource has been active in donating and participating in the Mahoning Valley. Now, we’re getting employees involved in the community with corporate volunteer days.” According to Habitat for Humanity’s website, their goal is, “to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the face of the earth.” The nonprofit organization accomplishes this goal by building and renovating affordable, energy efficient homes for low-income families worldwide.
