The technology to remove employees from traffic metrics has finally arrived.
Employee exclusion technology creates a truer data set for applications where employees regularly traffic the sensor’s detection area. Retailers utilize this technology by omitting employees who are on the salesfloor, assisting customers and even entering through the front entrance. Libraries and universities monitoring maker spaces and conference rooms can omit employees assisting visitors. Using the employee exclusion feature produces consistent traffic metrics, taking the outliers out of historical and multi-location comparisons.
Using the SenSource VIDX sensor with AI, employees are given specially designed tags the sensor identifies and excludes from traffic counts. Since the sensor is only detecting an employee based on their tag, single staff members cannot be identified, eliminating privacy concerns.
