This month we participated in our third corporate volunteer project with the Big Reach Center of Hope in Greenford, Ohio! Four volunteers spent the day assisting with the distribution of food and clothing to local families in need. In addition, our volunteers helped the Center after hours by cleaning and decorating the facility for the upcoming holidays. Randi Johnson, SenSource Accountant and volunteer, states, “The Big Reach Center of Hope is a well run organization. The team leaders were very helpful in showing us volunteers what to do. Overall it was a good experience by allowing us to help other people.” The Big Reach Center of Hope was established in 2004 to fill the needs of low income and underserved individuals in the community. The facility provides free food, clothing, personal care items and small household goods to the public twice each week. Additional items are provided throughout the year such as turkeys for Thanksgiving, toys for Christmas, book bags filled with school supplies for back to school and baskets for Easter. In 2010, the Center reached out to over 45,000 individuals! Learn more about our Corporate Volunteer Program on our Community page.
