Installation Tips
Installation of any SenSource system should be done using proper safety equiptment and wiring should adhere to your state and local regulations.  Many of our systems are designed to work right out of the box, but few require some minor wiring and configuration.  If any of the following tips is not adequate enough to solve your problem, please call 800-239-1226 and ask to speak to a technical support agent.


PCW-TB06XL-S/F (Battery Powered People Counter)

  1. Turning ON Your Transmitter (TX):
    When the transmitter (TX) is off (in Standby Mode) in order to turn it on (On-Line Mode) you must activate the pushbutton by pushing on the product label until you feel a slight click and hold it in for about 3 – 7 seconds. The Indicator LED will initially flash rapidly indicating it is in Standby Mode. Once the LED is constant (no flashing) release the pushbutton immediately and the device should now be active in On-Line Mode. If you hold the pushbutton to long (more than 7 seconds) the LED will turn off and the transmitter will return to Standby Mode. Online mode can be verified if the LED remains off when the pushbutton is pressed momentarily (less than 2 seconds).

  2. Turning OFF Your Transmitter (TX)
    When the transmitter is ON (Online Mode) it can be turned OFF (Standby Mode) by activating the pushbutton by pushing on the product label until you feel a slight click and hold it in for 8 or more seconds then release it. Your transmitter should now be OFF.

    Standby Mode can be verified by a rapid flashing of the LED when the pushbutton is pressed momentarily (less than 2 seconds).

  3. Turning ON Your Receiver (RX)
    When the Receiver (RX) is off (in Standby Mode) in order to turn it on (On-Line Mode) you must activate the pushbutton by pressing on the product label until you feel a slight click and hold it in for about 3 – 7 seconds. The Indicator LED will initially flash rapidly indicating it is in Standby Mode. Once the LED is off (no flashing) or when the display is reset to zero release the pushbutton immediately. The device should now be active in On-Line Mode. If you hold the pushbutton to long (more than 7 seconds) the Receiver will return to Standby Mode. Online mode can be verified if the LED remains off when the pushbutton is pressed momentarily (less than 2 seconds).

  4. Turning OFF Your Receiver (RX)
    When the Receiver is ON (Online Mode) it can be turned OFF (Standby Mode) by pressing the pushbutton on the product label until you feel a slight click and hold it in for 8 or more seconds then release it. Your transmitter should now be OFF.

    Standby Mode is verified when the LCD display is continuously counting about once every second.

  5. Putting Your Receiver (RX) In Setup Mode
    Setup mode is used for alignment and to send a “Setup Signal” to a Sensor Server. With the receiver ON (in Online Mode) you can place it in setup mode by momentarily pressing the pushbutton on the label until you feel a slight click for less than 1 second. The indicator LED will come on constant only if the transmitter is On-line and it is aligned as explained in the installation guide. The receiver will remain in Setup Mode for about 2 minutes to aid in alignment. If the LED indicator is on constantly for 8 seconds indicating proper alignment the Receiver will exit setup mode before 2 minutes.

  6. Resetting The Display of Your Receiver
    With your receiver in online mode the display can be reset by pressing the pushbutton on the label until you feel a slight click and hold it until the display resets zero then release the pushbutton immediately. If the pushbutton is held for more than 5 seconds the sensor will be turned OFF (Standby Mode).
