Job Description: Inside Technical Sales Representative
Summary:
The Inside Technical Sales Representative will be responsible to communicate either directly to incoming leads or make initial contact prior to other sales account managers assuming accounts. The Inside Technical Sales Representative will utilize selling skills and techniques to sell SenSource products and services, primarily people and vehicle counters and environmental sensors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work primarily in CRM software with incoming leads generated from SenSource?s seven websites, must have ability to evaluate each lead?s required amount of attention
- Assist with workflow and delegation of leads
- Tradeshow pre and post lead and customer communication
- Assist prospects and leads with product selection, utilizing knowledge of engineering specifications and catalog resources.
- Evaluate customer needs and emphasizes product features based on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
- Respond to and/or qualify leads generated by various marketing efforts including website inquiries, vendor leads, trade show leads and catalog requests.
- Perform outbound calls to customers and prospects specific to vendor and/or product promotions.
- Educate prospects and customers on product specifications.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of principles for promoting and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and conscientious and respectful of others within the organization.
- Ability to prioritize in order to maximize productivity.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the company as well as with customers.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications or Management. 2 years or more relevant sales experience in a technical or industrial field.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge and prior experience with a CRM preferred. Must have experience with Microsoft Office products including MS Outlook and MS Excel.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to low. SenSource has a casual office environment with casual dress requirements.
Work Hours:
This position is full time (forty hours per week). Standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Travel:
Travel will be required occasionally and is anticipated to average less than 5% of the total work hours per year.
