Q10 Vehicle Counter
with Multi Line Display & PC Integration
Q10 Vehicle Counters are simple to install and provide a system to record data based on the number of
people that pass by the selected sensor. These systems use a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) to
monitor and record data generated from a variety of sensors. This data can be used to generate
reports and display statistical information on a computer. With a variety of sensors available almost any
people counting application for can be accommodated. The SenSource Q10-ALPHA Controller/Display
& People Counter is one the most advanced yet cost effective systems available on the market today.
Monitor traffic and occupancy levels of up to 19 entrances with non-directional counting (counts up
regardless of direction) or 9 entrances with directional counting (counts up when people enter and
down when people exit). Control up to 9 external devices based on timing, counts, or external sensor
input (control examples include: lighting systems, flashing signs, digital displays - activate a buzzer or
light to warn when capacity is reached). With features not available in systems much more expensive,
the Q10-ALPHA system will surpass all your expectations.
TC-ALPHA Features:
Directional sensing reflects total number of people that have
entered the monitored area/s (up to 19) and current population
Optional PC interface and Software for data logging reporting
Reports can be exported in CSV or MS-Excel formats and saved to your hard
drive or emailed automatically.
Modular system accommodates a variety of sensors and allows
sensor and display to be mounted together or separately
Battery Backup (counts are not lost if power is lost)
Multi-Key front panel reset prevents tampering and accidental reset
Safe low voltage 24V DC (plug-in supply included with 10 ft cable)
Select a variety of sensors to fit your application
Outputs can control external devices such as warning lights and/or beepers
to indicate when critical population level is reached
Q10 system sensors are categorized by either non-directional (counts up regardless of traffic direction)
and directional (counts incoming and outgoing traffic separately). The benefit of having non-directional
systems is that it allows you to monitor more entry/exit points per controller and gives you the ability to
monitor all entry/exit points from a single location. The benefit of having a directional system is that it
allows you to monitor not only incoming and outgoing counts for each entry/exit, you can also view the
current population of your facility.
