Resolution |
Note: A small piece of wire, or a paper clip, is needed to test the Count Recorder by completing the circuit between the two pins on the PCDL-1000's green (phoenix) connector. (Manipulate the wire/paper clip to form a horseshoe shape - refer to Figure 1.)
- Connect the Count Recorder to the computer
- The Counter Recorder software must be installed on this computer.
- Navigate to Start Menu » All Programs » SenSource 7.00.XX (folder) » SenSource 7.00.XX
- Where XX is the current build
- Select Device on the top navigation menu and then scroll down to select Real Time Chart Recording.
- Click to view the Data tab.
- Set the Reading Rate to 5 seconds from the dropdown menu.
- Click the Start Recording button
- Use the wire, or paper clip, to bridge the connector pins on the Count Recorder (refer to Figure 1).
- If the Count Recorder is functioning properly, each connection with the wire/paper clip will display as an integer in the Counts column of the Data tab.
- If no counts are displaying for each 5-second pulse, the Count Recorder is likely in need of repair or replacement.
- Contact SenSource Technical Support:
- If counts are displaying, the Count Recorder is functioning properly.
- Verify that all sensor/controller wiring is correct and that all connections are good/tight.
- When finished testing the Count Recorder, click Stop Recording.
- Exit the Real Time Chart Recording by clicking the Done Recording button.
